Mrs. Peggy Ann Davis, widow of George Davis, Sr., daughter of the late William A. and Geneva W. Wooden, transitioned home to be with the Lord in Glory on Thursday, April 17,2025.

She was a member of Bethesda Temple Church in Greer.  She attended Florence Chapel High School.  Around Greer and the upstate of South Carolina, Peggy was known for her home cooked meals.  Always laughing, talking and smiling when you walked in the front door of Peggy's Diner.

Her legacy will continue on in those left behind, including her children, William A. (Marva) Davis of Gaffney, SC, G. Michael (Beverly) Davis of Inman, SC, Sarah L. (Bishop James L) Dawkins of Greer, SC, George (Susan) Davis, Jr., of Moore, SC and Lawrence (Felecia) Davis of Duncan, SC; her siblings, Laura Sherman of Greenville, SC, Betty Joe Sibley of Greer, SC and William Alexander (Carolyn) Wooden of Greenville, SC; her 23 grandchildren; her 38 great grandchildren; her 12 great-great grandchildren; her pet family Sasha and Coco; along with a host of other family, friends, community and coworkers.

She was preceded in death by her son, Lee A. Evans, siblings, Elizabeth Whiteside, Loretta Horton and Willie Lewis Wooden; her grandson, Mario Foster and her granddaughter, Kiah Davis.

Public viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, starting at 2:00PM until 6:00 PM at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary.  Funeral service will be on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, starting at 2:00 PM at Cedar Grove Baptist Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
