Jockery "Jock" Lenoah Jones went home to our lord and savior on October 8th, 2019 at the age of 51.

Jock was born to Bobby Joe and Betty Jo Jones of Taylors, South Carolina on August 17th, 1968. As a child he excelled in sports including basketball and football. He attended North Carolina A&T college in Greensboro, North Carolina, on a football scholarship. In addition to being a loving father, he enjoyed shooting hoops with his son and teaching his son how to play basketball. His sons meant the world to him.

Jock met his wife Melody in Atlanta, GA in 1995, they were wed in 1999. They spent 23 wonderful years together. He will be missed every day by his loving wife.

Jock is survived by his wife Melody Jones of Coconut Grove, FL, his mother Betty Jo D. Jones of Taylors, SC; brother, Jeffrey Jones of Greenville, SC; his son, Joaquin Jones, of CT; stepson, Danny Trujillo of Los Angeles, CA; father-in-law, Angelo Auneddu of Deerfield Beach, FL;two sisters-in-laws, Michelle Ryan and Monalisa Pagan; two brothers-in-law, Rafael Auneddu and Michael Auneddu; he has one grandchild, Jayden Trujillo; many nieces and nephews all in South Florida.

Jock loved the beach and brightened every room with his warm smile. He was looked up to and admired by all of his friends and family. He cherished his mother and took pride in mentoring his children. Jock was the life of the party and never let those around him be sad. He expressed often that everyday he was in paradise. He took great pride in every project he executed and expected the best of everyone around him. He and his wife shared a 23-year love affair that lasted to the end and continues to grow. We want Jock to be remember for his warm smile, cheerful spirit and uplifting energy. To truly know Jock, was to love him.

Funeral service will be Saturday, October 19, 2019 11:00am at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary Chapel with burial in Needmore Cemetery.
