Greer, SC

Zena Rector, widow of James E. Rector, daughter of the late Duff and Lottie H. Gamble, passed Friday, December 10, 2021.

She was a member of Evangelical House of God and a former member of Bethel U.M. Church.  She was a graduate of DunbarHigh School and after high school she attended Livingston College.  In her spare time, she enjoyed singing, playing the piano and reading.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories of Mrs. Rector are her children; Sherolyn D. (Sam) Brown of New Orleans, LA, Paula (Kurt) Jackson of Pelzer, SC, Renee (Calvin) Fowler of Taylors, SC, Tewana (Kevin) Hill of Greer, SC and James Rector III of Greenville, SC; 11 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great-great grand; along with a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her sister Betty James and a granddaughter Jazmine R. Fowler.

Funeral service will be Monday, December 20, 2021 2:00PM at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary Chapel with burial in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.  Please keep the Rector family in your prayers.

Face mask is required no exceptions for attendance of service.  Mask must be worn to cover mouth and nose the ENTIRE time while inside the mortuary.  If unable to wear a mask, we ask that you attend the zoom service that will be provided on the behalf of the family.  A link will be provided prior to service please check.
