Willie Carvelt Rogers, husband of Louvenia Rogers, son of the late Carvelt and Evelyn Rogers, passed Saturday, August 3, 2019 peacefully at his home surrounded by his family.

He was a member of Foster Chapel Baptist Church.  He had a strong love for the Atlanta Braves.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories of Mr. Rogers along with his wife Louvenia for over 56 years are his children; Teresa Rogers, Annie M. "Sissy" Rogers, Vincent C. Rogers, Mary L. (Michael) Dawkins and Tamara (Kerry) Palmer all of Spartanburg, South Carolina; sisters, Carrie Rogers, Dorothy Rogers and Gloria (David) Young all of Spartanburg, South Carolina; 10 grandchildren and one reared in the home Alisha M. Williams-Harris; 12 great grandchildren and one great-great grand on the way in December; sister-in-laws, Betty (Lawrence) Keenan, Ruby Manigan both of Spartanburg, South Carolina and brother-in-law, Wilbert Barton of Spartanburg, South Carolina; along with a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sisters Mildred Rogers Fant, Lucille Rogers Fuller and Rosa Rogers Miller.

Funeral service will be Saturday, August 10, 2019 1:00PM at Foster Chapel Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.  Viewing will take place Friday, August 9, 2019 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Foster Chapel Baptist Church.  Please keep the Rogers family in your prayers during their time of bereavement.
