Mr. William Neal Cunningham, son of the late Golden C. and Effie L. Cunningham, passed Tuesday, August 25, 2026, peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family.  William was the baby in the family of 12 children.

William was a graduate of McEwen High School in McEwen, TN.  William loved his family.  He also, loved to go out to eat, music, watching wrestling, watching NASCAR, watching football with his favorite two teams being Tennessee Titans and Buffalo Bills!

William legacy will forever will own in the hearts and lives of everyone he touched including his siblings, Carol (Steve) Wall of McEwen, TN, Diana (Connie) Spears of Buffalo, MO, Ella (Marty) Atkins of Chesnee, SC, Wanda (Eddie) Phillips of Duncan, SC, Katherine "Kathy" Cunningham of McEwen, TN, Julie (Ed) Cunningham of McEwen, TN, Robert (Linda) Cunningham of McEwen, TN and Joseph "Joey" Cunningham of McEwen, TN; along with a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Roy Cunningham, Timothy "Tim" Cunningham, Judy Spears Deal and Gregory Spears.

The family has planned a celebration of life for William and this will take place in Sparta, TN at Young Cemetery, Gumsprings, TN.

It was special passing for William, transitioning on the same day as Dolly Parton, with one of his favorite songs being by her; "I will always love you"!
