Wellford, South Carolina

Mr. Whit Junior "Pop" McClintock, husband of Clara Mae McClintock, son of the late Jessie Ruth McClintock and the late A T Thompson, passed Friday, April 4, 2025, peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He attended Greater Fuller Tabernacle Holiness Church in Wellford, SC.  He received his education from Florence Chapel High School.  Whit retired from Jackson Mill, after 30 years of service.  Whit's favorite past time moments were keeping his yard up & gardening, watching his Los Angeles Dodgers, Green Bay Packers, Clemson Tigers, Texas Longhorns and UCLA play sports.  He also loved to aggravate his sister Bobbie Jo McClintock.

Having departed this earthly life, he leaves to cherish fond and loving memories his wife Clara of over 68 (almost 69 years);  his children, James McClintock, Francina McClintock, Scottie (Barbara) McClintock all of Wellford, SC, Tim (Lynda) McClintock of Livonia, MI and Andrea (Gerald) Justin of Northville, MI; seven grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; one great-great grand; along with a host of other family, neighbors and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Ann Styles and Bobbie Jo McClintock; brother Robert Lee McClintock and uncles Major Lee McClintock, Grover McClintock, Harold McClintock and Andrew McClintock and aunts, Cary Watson, Gladys McClintock and Lottie McClintock.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, 2:00 PM at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow in Fuller Tabernacle Church Cemetery in Wellford, SC.  Public viewing will take place on Thursday, April 10, 2025, starting at 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the mortuary
