Thomas O. Griffin, also known as "Grip", transitioned on October 2, 2019 at Greenville Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. Son of the late Thomas Griffin, Jr. and the late Epimetheus Edmonds. In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his siblings, Frederick Edmonds, Michael Griffin and Evelyn Griffin

While at Blue Ridge High School, he played a variety of sports and worked at Ryan's until he graduated in 1982. Afterwards, he went to work for Avco presently known as Honeywell. Thomas had a great sense of humor and enjoyed summer cookouts with his cousins at his grandmother's house. He also loved to watch his Clemson Tiger football and Duke Blue Devil basketball teams play. He also loved WWE wrestling.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories are his children, Ayana (Christopher) Greer-Buck of Atlanta, Ga. and Thomas O. Griffin, Jr., of Taylors, SC and a host of other family and friends.

Memorial service will be Wednesday, October 9, 2019 5:00pm at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary Chapel.
