Tamika McDowell-Randolph, 43, of Huntsville, AL (formally of Wellford, SC) unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023. She was born to Henry and Carolyn McDowell on October 31, 1979 in Spartanburg, SC.
She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was reared in the ways of the Lord by her parents. During her younger years, she was a member of Upper Shady Grove Baptist Church in Wellford, SC, where she served as a youth usher and sang in the youth choir. After relocating to Huntsville, AL, she became a loyal and faithful member of Touch By The Word Ministries Apostolic Center, where she served as a dedicated member of the Praise and Worship Team (Manifest).
Tamika attended Byrnes High School in Duncan, SC, where she received an advanced diploma in 1997. Tamika furthered her education at Spelman College in Atlanta, GA, where she earned a BS degree in Mathematics in 2002. Tamika also furthered her education at the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech), where she received a BS degree in Civil Engineering in 2003. Tamika enjoyed an illustrious career, having served in construction-related project management positions with the Florida Turnpike Enterprise and the US Department of Defense.
Tamika is survived by her husband, Terrence Randolph of Huntsville, AL;  her parents, Henry and Carolyn McDowell of Wellford, SC; her brothers, Calvin McDowell of Wellford, SC and Christopher (Latallya) McDowell, of Fountain Inn, SC; her nieces, Krystin McDowell and Caitlyn McDowell of Fountain Inn, SC; her nephews, Jaylon Tolbert of Simpsonville, SC and Christian Randolph of Hoover, AL; and one grand-niece, Denvyr Tolbert of Simpsonville, SC; her mother-in-law, Eleanor Randolph of Livingston, AL; and her brother-in-laws, Tom Randolph of Huntsville, AL and Elliott (Natasha) Randolph of Harvest, AL.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023, at 12:00 PM at Upper Shady Grove Baptist Church, 1580 John Dodd Road, Wellford, SC, 29385. The Committal Service will follow at the church cemetery. Public viewing will be Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary.
