Sharon D. Cureton came into this world on April 4, 1967 to Claudia Cureton Hammond and the late Birdell Hammond. She graduated with an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice and her final work experience was with Greenville County Sheriff Office as a Communication Specialist.

Sharon was a member of New Life with Christ (NLWC). where she served on the nursing outreach ministry. Her ministry consisted of cooking, being active in the community and caring for others.

She was preceded in death by her father, Birdell Hammond and grandmother, Bessie Mae Gist.

Sharon departed this earthly world on Thursday, July 9, 2020.

She is survived by her mother, Claudia Cureton Hammond of West Palm Beach, Fla.; three sisters, Stacey Hammond of Greer, SC, Renee (Oneal) Bailey of Greenville, SC and Miriam (Charles, Jr.) Pinson of Greenville, SC, a brother, Stephen (Venita) Foster of Travelers Rest, SC; grandfather, Odis Gist of Greenville, SC; two nephews, Canon and Tyrell Bailey both of Greenville, SC; ten cousins, Janie Clark of Simpsonville, SC, Bruce (Teresa) Thompson of Greenville, SC, Bobby (Yolanda) Thompson of Simpsonville, SC, Jermelle (Larry) Thompson and Deja Thompson both of Spartanburg, SC, Nathan Thompson of Greenville, SC, Charles Barton of Rock Hill, SC, Julius Johnson and Felecia Gueye both of Abilene, TX, Jeffery (Kathy) Neal of Goldsboro NC; Dee Pierce and Debbie Pierce both of Greenville, SC and a host of other relatives and friends. Her canine friend, Ginger.
