Mrs. Sarah D. Wright, widow of Arthur Lee Wright, daughter of the late Aaron N. and Lillie Mae Drummond, passed Monday, July 3, 2023, peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was a member of Lower Shady Grove Baptist Church.  Former employee with Jackson Mills and James F. Byrnes High School.  In her spare time, you could find her crocheting, playing word search games, playing crossword puzzles games, singing on the choir, teaching Sunday School and being a Deaconess.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories of Mrs. Sarah include, her daughters, Sharon Reed and Cynthia (James) McKissick both of Duncan, SC and Lillie "Susan" Wright of Costa Rica, Limon; grandchildren, Edward Drummond, Kendrick (Michelle) Reed, Erika (Robert) Green, Brandon (Kelly) Wright, William (Hattie) Wright, Arthur Lee (Kelly) Wright III, Westley (Kendra Pullen) Wright, Brittany Wright, Whittney Waddell, Twana Waddell, Chasity Wright, Tkeshia Waddell and Ashley Wright; 21 great-grandchildren; sister Georgia Lou Foster of Greer, SC; and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Tamika Evans, daughters, Caroline Drummond and Lisa Wright, sons Reginald C. Drummond, Aaron J. Wright and Arthur Lee Wright, Jr., siblings, Elliott Drummond and ODessa Mallory.

Funeral service will be Monday, July 10, 2023, 1:00PM at Lower Shady Grove Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.  Public viewing will take place on Sunday, July 9, 2023, from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the mortuary.  Please keep the Wright family in your thoughts and prayers.
