Mr. Sammy Agnew, Jr., husband of Lydia Agnew, son of the late Sammy G. and Helen G. Agnew, passed Thursday, July 6, 2023.

He was a member of Breaking Chains Ministry.  He attended Lincoln High School, after high school he worked for Inman Mills for many years.  In his spare time, you could catch him working with his hands, putting things together.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories of Sammy, including his wife Lydia of over 16 years, include his daughters, Brenda Murphy and Betty A. Martin both of Taylors, SC and Dorothy (Maurice) Ross of Travelers Rest, SC; his sons, Amos Agnew of Wellford, SC, Sammy (Jackie) Agnew of Taylors, SC and Rodney Montgomery of Greer, SC; his siblings, Carolyn Agnew of Greenville, SC and Roy Lee Agnew of Greer, SC; 12 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; along with a host of other family and friends

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Nettie Grace Agnew, Phillip Greer, Jimmy Agnew, Tommy Lee Agnew, Daniel Agnew, Harry Agnew, Willie James Agnew and Mack Agnew.

Funeral service will be Saturday, July 15, 2023, 1:00 PM at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary Chapel.  Public viewing will be Friday, July 14, 2023, from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the mortuary.
