Mrs. Ruth Ellen J. Davis, wife of George T. Davis, daughter of the late Warren and Ida Mae Jasper, passed on Monday, September 21, 2026.

She was a member of Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She graduated from Lincoln High School. After high school, she began working for Independent Life Insurance Company until she retired.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories including her husband George, of over 42 years, are son Aundra Davis and stepson Joykest (Sandra) Davis; stepdaughter Kristie Levy; along with a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her brother Bo James.

Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, 12:00 Noon at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow in Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.  Viewing will take place on Monday, September 28, 2026, from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary.
