"A Journey Of A Thousand Miles Began With My Smile"

Rozina Parks-Bivings was born on September 10, 1948, to the late Hellen Parks and Beatrice Suber-Parks in Spartanburg South Carolina. God saw her getting tired and cure was not to be found. He put his arms around her and whispered, "Come to me". A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands put to rest on August 3, 2022, at Inman Health Care Facility. She was a resident of Greer South Carolina, known as a beloved housewife and housekeeper for many years.

She is survived by her loving husband Ray Curtis Bivings of 48 years; her son Perry Parks; her sisters Shirley Ann Mack and Eleanor Turner; her grandson Pierre Pearson and Dequarius McClintock; her granddaughter Alicia Parks; and host of other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her daughter Carolina C. Parks; her sisters Rosella Parks, Martha Kelly, Hellen King, Norma Jean Parks, and Rachel Parks; her brothers Billy Perry Parks, James Cecil Parks, and Fletcher Parks.

Rozina was a beloved matriarch in her family and community where she was deeply loved and appreciated. She enjoyed planting flowers and cooking.  She showed selflessness in caring for her family and friends. She never met a stranger and embraced everyone she came in contact with.

She left a lot of footprints of joy, faith, compassion, kindness, and love. She loved to go to church where she was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church for many years.

Rozina's life was symbolic to that of a rainbow showing signs of hope and the beauty after the storm.  The color represents the attributes she possessed in her lifetime.

Yellow- Joy

Red- Love

Pink- Faith

Blue- Compassion

Purple- Kindness

Funeral service will be Saturday, August 6, 2022, 4:00 PM at Cedar Grove Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  Viewing will take place from 3:00PM until hour of service.
