Greer, South Carolina

Mr. Roy Lee Garrett, 71, was born in Greenville County on June 16, 1949 to the late Mr. John Earl Garrett II and the late Mrs. Mary Ellen Hendrix Garrett, departed his life on Monday, March 22, 2021 at Bushy Creek Rehab and Health Care Center in Greer, South Carolina.

He was a member of Maple Creek Baptist Church in Greer, South Carolina and attended Lincoln High School. He retired from Ashmore Bros. Paving Company as a truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, drag racing, watching sports, and rooting for his favorite team the Dallas Cowboys.

Precious memories will linger in the hearts of his sisters, Martha, aka "Cookie" (Henry) Greer of Taylors, SC and Shirley (William) Smith of Cleveland, OH and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his three sisters, Patricia Garrett aka Patsy, Brenda Garrett and Laura Garrett aka Tootsie; a brother, John Earl Garrett III aka June and his best canine friend, Rocky.
