Duncan, South Carolina

Mrs. Rolanda S. Smith, wife of Ted Smith, daughter of the late Richard Stephens and the late Frances S. Green, passed Monday, June 24, 2024.

She was a member of Diversity Outreach Ministry.  Mrs. Smith, graduated from Spartanburg High School, Class of 1989.  She was employed with Walmart.  In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with family, walking, gardening, talking (she never met a stranger), cheering on her L. A. Lakers and Baltimore Ravens.  Rolanda just loved people!

Left to cherish fond and loving memories of Rolanda include her husband, of over 26 years, Ted Smith; children, Demetrious Gist of Spartanburg, SC, Elijah Smith, Joel Smith and Shakerra Smith all of Duncan, SC; siblings, Richard (Annie) Stephens of Orange Park, FL, Jerry (Tracy) Stephens, Vanessa Stephens and Zackary Stephens all of Spartanburg, SC and Torrey (Yolonda) Stephens of Charlotte, NC; three grandchildren and a dog son Roscoe; along with a host of other family and friends.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Joseph Stephens.

Homegoing celebration will take place on Sunday, June 30, 2024, 2:00 PM at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.  Public viewing will take place on Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 1:00PM until 5:00PM at the mortuary.
