Mr. Rashard S. Wright, son of Rashard Wright and Cheilon Whiteside, passed Saturday, July 8, 2023.

Rashard was a 2023 graduate of James F. Byrnes High School.  He was an honor roll student and a standout defensive back for the Rebels last season and was planning on attending school and playing football this upcoming fall at Benedict College in Columbia on an athletic and academic scholarship, Go Tigers!  In his spare time, he enjoyed playing football, as well as, watching his San Fransico 49ers play and during basketball his Golden State Warriors.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories of Rashard including his father Rashard and mother Cheilon; include his siblings, Malik Williams, Shar' Breasia Wright, Sha'rbre Wright and Dockwan Geter, all of Spartanburg, SC, Cheilontae Herndon, Brooklyn, NY, Adenia Tanner, Greenville, SC, Amari Smith and Ezra Smith both of Wellford, SC; his paternal grandmother, Dianne Wright of Greenville, SC and his maternal grandmother, Ida Geter of Spartanburg, SC; niece, Paris WIlliams of Spartanburg, SC; God mom Anitra Dawkins of Spartanburg, SC; bonus moms, Sabrina Geter of Spartanburg, SC and Samantha Smith of Wellford, SC; god sister, Albany Ellison of Spartanburg, SC; god brother, DaQuan Eillison of Spartanburg, SC; along with a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, football family and friends .

He was preceded in death by his great grandfather, Wilson Wright, hi grandfathers, Dennis Murphy, Michael Wright, James Jeter, Fred Smith and his grandmother, Janice Herndon.

Funeral service is set for Saturday, July 15, 2023, 11:00 AM at Church at the Mill located 4455 Anderson Mill Road, Moore, SC 29369 with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.  Public viewing will take place on Friday, July 14, 2023, starting at 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary Inc.
