Patricia Ann Fowler Cohen was a beautiful woman both inside and out.  She was a devoted child of God who loved her family and friends immensely.  She exemplified Christ by her compassion and care for others often opening her home and heart to those in need.  From getaways with her sisters, jazz festivals with her in-laws, camping trips with church members, beach trips with family and friends, and trips to Las Vegas and Atlantic City with girlfriends, hers was a life well lived!

"WeeWee," as she was affectionately called, was born on September 16, 1958, in Greer, South Carolina to the late James Thurmond and Martha Ann Fowler.  A graduate of James F. Byrnes High School Class of 1976, Patricia was a retired employee of Honeywell where she worked for over 25 years.  United in marriage and forever friendship with Edward Lee Cohen, their union produced three of Patricia's greatest loves and the joys of her life, Eboni, Jarrett, and Raina.

"Patty Melt," as Eboni affectionately called her, was an incredibly loving and supportive mother who instilled in her children compassion and the importance of faith and having a close personal relationship with God. She guided them, encouraged them, supported their dreams and aspirations, picked them up when they stumbled, and showed them the true meaning of unconditional love. Patricia was an amazing mother who poured her all into her children, and they will be forever thankful that God blessed them with her as their Momma.

On Saturday, October 8, 2022, Patricia was called home to be with her heavenly Father, and we know that in her case to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Her life and memory will be cherished by her daughter, Eboni S. Nelson, son-in-law Scott D. Nelson, and granddaughter Ella Joy Nelson of Hartford, CT; son Jarrett E. Cohen and daughter-in-law Dr. Sydney Deville Cohen of New Orleans, LA; former husband Edward Lee Cohen of Greenville, SC; siblings Gail Epps, Ramona Richardson, Martha J. Fowler, Jackie Blythe and James D. Fowler; siblings-in-love Carolyn (Wilbur) Walker, Jo Ann Mays, Thomas Cohen, Barbara (Larry) Fowler, and Debra A. Cohen; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Patricia was preceded in death by her daughter Raina Jandelle Cohen, parents James Thurmond and Martha Ann Fowler, mother-in-law Geraldine Cohen, and father-in-law Charles Edward Drummond.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Society of Greenville County.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022, 1:00PM at Sullivan Bros.
