Greer, SC

Mr. Norman Verdell Foster, husband of Thelma Jones Foster, son of the late Flay Wingo and the late Lillie Mae Burgess Foster passed Sunday, January 20, 2019.

He was a member of Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church.  Mr. Foster was a United States Army Veteran, he honored his country fighting in the Korean War.  During his spared time he enjoyed working in the yard, walking and working on puzzles.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories along with his wife Thelma Jones Foster of over 58 years are his sons, Norman Eric (Rhonda) Foster and Reginald Thomas (Ada) Foster both of Greer, SC; grandchildren, Josh Foster of Spartanburg, SC; Britney Evans of Wellford, SC and Brandy Smith of Duncan, SC; five great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his adopted mother Bernicesteen H. Mack and step father Bennie Burgess.

Funeral service will be Sunday, January 27, 2019 2:30PM at Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.  Military honors will be provided.
