Mrs. Mirina Anderson Thompson, widow of Oscar Rufus Thompson, daughter of the late Oscar and Rebecca Bell Anderson passed Saturday February 10,2018. She was a member of Florence Chapel United Methodist Church. During her spare time she enjoyed singing, playing the piano, cooking and gardening. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are her children Robert C. (Vivian) Thompson of Charlotte, NC, Carolyn (Henry) McDowell of Wellford, SC, Patricia (Charles) Terry of Lansing, KS, Jo Ella (Jimmy) Salters of Inman, SC and Douglas Thompson of Lyman, SC; siblings Emma O. Anderson of Duncan, SC, Rev. Oscar (Iris) Anderson of Philadelphia, PA and Virginia Fairnot of Spartanburg, SC; sister-in-law JoAnn Anderson of Wellford, SC and special niece Andrenia King of Wellford, SC; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren; Rudolph Anderson raised as a cousin/brother; along with other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her siblings Hazel Williams, Howard (Josephine) Anderson, Rev. Rosco (Carrie) Anderson, Coza Bell McKinney and Issac Anderson; granddaughter Kimberly Beatty and a cousin raised as a sister Uzella Anderson. Funeral service will be Saturday, February 16, 2018 2:00PM at Florence Chapel United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The family will have a visitation prior to the funeral at the church from 1:00PM until the hour of service. The Thompson family is being cared for by Sullivan Bros. Mortuary.
