Mattie Ruth Dillard, daughter of the late Booker T. and Jannie Ruth Dillard, Sr., passed Wednesday, September 11, 2024.

She was a graduate of James F. Byrnes High School.  She last worked as a cook at Kangaroo Express.  In her spare time, you could catch her watching TV and looking at Facebook or Instagram. Arrangements are incomplete at this time.

Precious memories will forever be cherished in the hearts of those she left behind, including her daughters, Karen (Larry) Wilson and Kila Dillard (Danny Smith) all of Spartanburg, SC; son, Kevin Dillard of Spartanburg, SC; siblings, Jannie Drummond and Betty Johnson both of Spartanburg, SC; Willie Lee Dillard of Atlanta, GA and Booker T. (Mary) Dillard of Montgomery, AL; eight grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; along with a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jessie Johnson and T. J. Dillard.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024, 1:00 PM at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.  Public viewing will take place on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, starting at 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM.
