Wellford, South Carolina

Mrs. Mary Louise Wingo, wife of Laymon Wingo, Sr., daughter of the late James and Ruby N. Anderson, passed Thursday, March 9, 2023.

She was a faithful member of New Faith Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother.  In her spare time, she loved cooking for her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories of Mrs. Wingo, including her husband, are her children, Frances (Gabriel) Miller III of Atlanta, GA, Barbara (Jerry) Moore of Lyman, SC and Ernest Wingo of Wellford, SC; her siblings, Kenneth (Darlene) Anderson of Wellford, SC, Maddie (Carlton) Smith of Spartanburg, SC, Wilma Miller of Greer, SC and Tammy Anderson of Lyman, SC; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; along with a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son Laymon Wingo, Jr. and her brother Calvin Durham.

Funeral service will be Saturday, March 18, 2023, 1:00 PM at New Faith Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  Public viewing will take place on Friday, March 17, 2023, from 3:00 PM until 6:00PM at the mortuary.  Please keep the Wingo family in your prayers.
