Mamie Austin, daughter of the late James B. and Rozell B. Smith, passed Sunday, December 31,2023.

She was a member and usher at First Baptist Church of Paris and Tabernacle Baptist Church.  Those who knew her, knew she enjoyed spending time with family, grandchildren and friends, watching TV Soap Operas, and driving after turning 60 years old.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories include her son, Phillip Lee (Cathy) Austin of Asheville, NC; sister Katie Glover of Taylors, SC; brother, Johnny (Fannie) Smith of Taylors, SC; grandchildren, Ashley Austin and Kimberly Austin both of Simpsonville, SC; great grandchildren, Skyler Austin of Simpsonville, SC and DJ of Asheville, NC; sister-in-law, Edith Gibbs of Taylors, SC; along with a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Lillie Mae Foster, Leroy Smith, Jake Smith and Frank Smith and brother-in-law I W. Glover.

Funeral service will be Sunday, January 7, 2024, 2:00 PM at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary Chapel with burial in Jubilee Baptist Church Cemetery.  Family will have visitation hour starting at 1:00PM prior to the service.
