Malissa W. Durrah, widow of Charles J. Durrah, daughter of the late Floyd and Essie Wilkins passed Friday, January 12, 2018. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Inman, South Carolina. As a member of the church she participated in various roles including Sunday School Teacher, Gospel Choir singer, Member of the YWMA ministries, President of the Starlite Sympathy Club and she helped with the nursery and children ministries. She also enjoyed listening to gospel music, working in her garden, being the best cake baker and cook in the world, watching sports and volunteering with hospice. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are her children Charles L. (Teresa) Durrah of Spartanburg, SC, Brenda (Keith) Partridge of Seattle, Washington, Judy D. Lassiter of Columbia, SC and Vickie S. Durrah of Chicago, Illinois; siblings Rosetta Davenport of Chicago, IL, Alice Williams of Long Island, NY, Charlie (Virginia) Wilkins of California, Silas Wilkins of Denver, CO, Aaron (Lucy) Wilkins of Greenville, SC; sister-in-laws Wilma Davis and Maxine Anderson; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; along with a host of other family and friends. She was predeceased by her son Michael Durrah and a daughter Peggy Durrah, siblings Paul Wilkins, Ola Littlejohn, John Wilkins, Asa Wilkins, Lenora Littlejohn, Mamie Anderson, Willie Wilkins and O. B. Wilkins. Funeral service will be Saturday, January 20, 2018 11:00 AM at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Inman, South Carolina with burial in Lincoln Memorial Gardens Spartanburg, SC. The Durrah family is being cared for by Sullivan Bros. Mortuary Inc. The Durrah family would like to thank you for all your kindness shown to them during their time of loss.
