Greer, South Carolina

Mr. Lynn B. Burnett, son of the late L.  B. and Jeanette Burnett, passed Saturday, January 21, 2023.

He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.  He graduated from Greer High School class of 1976.  After high school he served in the United States Army.  After leaving the army, he worked at Delta Mills and Stan Egan car lot.  He later became an OJT Registered Barber and began to work at Phase I Barber Shop in Greer.  Those who knew Lynn, knew his love for his Philadelphia Eagles "Fly Eagles Fly", his love for basketball, shotguns and tending to dogs.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories of Lynn include his children, Lynn (Yorketta) Pollard of Dallas, TX and Ashlyn Burnett of Spartanburg, SC; siblings, Faye Sullivan of Greer, SC, Tondra Burnett-Scott of Spartanburg, SC, Timmigo (Sharon) Burnett of Moore, SC, Tracey Cohen of Greer, SC, London Burnett of Greenville, SC Darrell Burnett of Greer, SC, Mary Anderson of California, CaDavius Casey of Greenville, SC and Darlene Garyson of Greer, SC; loving and sweet step mother, Andrea Pat Burnett; two grandchildren; Dogs Rocky and Mia; special friend Tina Gilmore of Gaffney, SC; along with a host of nieces, nephews other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother Stanley Earl Burnett.

Public viewing will be on Friday, January 27, 2023, from 1:00 PM until 6:00PM at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary Inc.  Funeral will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023, 2:00 PM at New Jerusalem Baptist Church with military honors and burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
