Lucille Amarilla Smith Rookard, widow of Henry Rookard, daughter of the late John Smith and Carrie Dantzler passed September 15, 2016 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice House.

She was a member of Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church. During her spare time she enjoyed cooking and caring for others.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories are her children Grace Jackson, Jurlene R. Salters, Jayce Rookard all of Inman and Johnny Rookard of Una; 20 grandchildren; 55 great grandchildren and 48 great-great grandchildren along with a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Earlene Smith Griffin and siblings Grace Foster, Eddie Smith, Mary Ellen Smith, Dillie Allen and Boyd Smith.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, September 21, 2016 2:00 pm at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
