Lois Ann Dean, daughter of the late Alice S. Dean was born in Spartanburg on March 1, 1952. On Tuesday, January 28, 2025, she took her earthly rest.
Lois was a 1970 graduate of James F. Byrnes High School. After high school, she continued her education at Cecil's Business College. After graduating from college, she worked at Raycord Shirt Factory, Startex Mills and Vocation Rehabilitation Program. She enjoyed listening to 70's music, especially the Temptations and loved watching westerns tv shows.
Lois's life will forever be remembered by those who one day will rejoin her again; including her four children, Nicole (Jermaine) Dean, Tonia Dean, Wade Dean and Mike (Rachel) Dean; nine grandchildren, Johnna Stripling, Torrian (Alexis) Dean, Mikey (Karly) Dean, Tristan Dean, Tyrique Glenn, Camaya Lewis, Zylan Dean, Mikenzie Dean and Tyler Littlefield; four great grandchildren, Aron Dean, Jaxson and Kaden Dean and Ryan Lynette Dean; sisters, Beatrice Collins, Louis Alexander, Lena F. Glenn, Frankie Rice and Shirley Davis; one brother, Clarence Collins; the father of her children, Boyce Lee Nesbitt; one sister-in-law, Marilyn McDowell; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins' other family and friends.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Jennifer Jennings and Mattie Fair: four brothers, Russell Dean, Butler McDowell, Jr., Walter and Forrest McDowell and one nephew Chris Rice.
Graveside service will be Tuesday, February 4, 2025, 12:00 Noon at Westwood Memorial Gardens. Public viewing will take place on Monday, February 3, 2025, from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary Inc.
