Wellford, SC

Mrs. Lillie Mae Rookard was born in Lyman, SC on February 28, 1924 and after 96 years went to be with our Heavenly Father on Monday, August 10, 2020.

Lillie was the daughter of the late Jessie Nesbitt and Annie Bruton Foster, and the widow of the late Melvin Rookard. Lillie joined Piney Grove Baptist Church at the young age of 11 years old. She loved her church and pastor. She was a faithful member until entering the Mountainview Nursing Home in Spartanburg, SC on July 20, 2001.

Lillie Mae was the oldest of eleven children and was preceded in death by six brothers and two sister.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two brothers, James (Lynt) Foster of Wellford, SC and Boyce L. Foster of Greer, SC and a host of other relatives and friends.
