Mrs. Lillie M Fowler, widow of Virgil Fowler, Sr., daughter of the late Nathaniel "Babe" Clark and Mattie Mills Clark, passed Monday, March 28, 2017. She was a member of Upper Shady Grove Baptist Church. She attended Bethune High School. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are her two daughters Kimberly A. Fowler of the home, Kelly D. (Shannon) Taylor of Inman, SC; four sons Craig K. (Rosalind) Fowler of Spartanburg, SC, Reginald L. (Doris) Fowler of Inman, SC, Virgil "Howard" Fowler, Jr., of the home and Gregory "Scooter" Fowler of Inman, SC; two sisters Mildred Murriel of Inman, SC and Agnes Floree Wingo of Wellford, SC; brother in law Elder L. Roosevelt (Betty) Fowler; two sister in laws Kandaree (Michael) Dawkins of Clayton, NC and Teretha Fowler of Wellford, SC; thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Long time childhood friend Catherine Thomas of Wellford, SC along with a host of other nieces, nephews, cousin, adopted children and grandchildren near and far. Along with her parents and husband whom she was blissfully married to for over 43 years Deacon Virgil H. Fowler, Sr., she was preceded in death by a brother James Carroll Clark; two sisters Betty Lucille Clark Robinson and Josephine Clark Copeland.
Funeral service Saturday, April 1, 2017 1:00PM Upper Shady Grove Baptist Church burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, March 31, 2017 5:00 PM- 7:00PM at Sullivan Bros.
