Woodruff, South Carolina

Mr. Leroy Sloan, husband of Betty Dirton Sloan, son of the late R. C. and Annie Mae Sloan passed Sunday, December 30, 2018.

He was a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Greer, SC.  Former employee with American Fast Print.  During his spare time he loved to fish, watch Byrnes High School sporting events and he LOVED his Pittsburgh "Sixburgh" Steelers.  If you knew Leroy you knew him as a jokester,  he was also referred to as "Mr. Brown"!

Left to cherish fond and loving memories along with his wife Betty Dirton Sloan of over 50 years are his two daughters  Debra (Otto) Sloan Johnson of Wellford, SC and Shirley (Shandrell) Sloan Holcombe of Woodruff, SC; grandchildren DeBryant Johnson of Wellford, SC, Terra Connor of Spartanburg, SC, Tyson Holcombe of Shepherd, TX, Shaunell Holcombe and A'nijayh Holcombe both of Woodurff, SC; brothers Elder Wilbur Sloan of Spartanburg, SC, James Sloan and Minister Odell (Mary) Sloan both of Woodruff, SC; sister Odessa (James) Henderson of Simpsonville, SC; god daughter Alicia Sexton of Spartanburg, SC; foster child Maloree Collins of Woodruff, SC; six sister-in-laws; three brother-in-laws; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Funeral service will be Thursday, January 3, 2019 1:00 PM at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, Pastor Steve Watson Officiant, with family visitation 12:00 PM until the hour of service.  Burial will take place in Heritage Memorial Gardens.
