Inman, South Carolina

Mr. Kenneth "Kenny" Wood, son of Jerry W. Wood, Sr. and the late Mazie Lee G. Wood, passed Friday, December 29, 2023.

He was a member of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church. He was a graduate of James F. Byrnes High School Class of 1984. After high school, he went on to attend Cumberland University in Kentucky, and North Greenville College in Tigerville, SC. In his spare time, he enjoyed his Dallas Cowboys and playing softball and basketball.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories are his children; Kendrick Rashad Smith of Spartanburg, SC, and Kelsey Renee Wood of Boiling Springs, SC; his siblings, Janet L. Wood of Inman, SC, Jerry W. Wood, Jr.(Angela) of Spartanburg, SC, Barbara Jones and Betty Jones of Spartanburg, SC, and Roosevelt Jones (Carolyn) of Fairmont, SC; four grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by two sisters; Geraldine Wood Daniels and Tammy Wood; maternal grandparents James Ralph Gage and Daisy Lee Gage; paternal grandparents Wallace and Patsy Wood.

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 6, 2024, 1pm at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Public viewing will take place one hour prior to the service starting at 12 noon.
