Duncan, SC

Mr. Joseph R. Robinson, son of the late Hicks and Shelton Miller Robinson, passed Saturday, January 19, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was a member of Greater Hopewell Baptist Church.  A retired supervisor from Leigh Fibers.  Funeral service emeritus with over 50 years of service with Sullivan Bros. Mortuary.  Joe will always be known for his love for people.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories are his children: Rev. Robert E. (Diane) Robinson of Duncan, SC, Annette (David) Reid of Wellford, SC, Julia (Juhnny) Higgins of Wellford, SC, Sandra Robinson of the home, Martha (James) Chambers of Spartanburg, SC, Phyllis Burns of Simpsonville, SC, Jodi Mills of Greer, SC, Joe A. Wright of McCormick, SC, Keith (Janice) Talley of Duncan, SC, Jimmy Talley of Greer, SC, Johnny (Jennifer) Nesbitt of Greer, SC and Brenda Nesbitt of Simpsonville, SC; brother J. W. (Flora) Robinson of Spartanburg, SC; 39 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; along with a host of other family and friends.  A loving and devoted friend Queen Ella Mills.

He was preceded in death by his siblings Rosevelt, Cary, Preston, James, Willie, Hezekiah, Virgil, Noney, Wadus, Micheal, Johnny, Frank, Anny Bell, Teddie, Mae, Lizzy Robinson.

Funeral service will be Saturday, January 26,2019 12:00 Noon at New Faith Baptist Church with burial at Wood Memorial Park.  Visitation will be Friday, January 25, 2019 from 6:00PM until 7:00PM at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary.
