Mr. Joseph Pickett son of the late L. P. Pickett and the late Frances Murry Pickett was born December 17, 1937 in Greenville County, South Carolina.

He was a Trustee and active member of the Jubilee Baptist Church until his health declined. He was a retired employee of Homelite Inc. in Greer, South Carolina. Doug as he was called served his country in the United States Air Force. His pastime favorite was bowling.

Preceded him in death daughter Donna Pickett, sister Janice Smith; brothers, Leonard Pickett, Covan Pickett, Richard Pickett and Preston Pickett.

Doug passed on Sunday, March 26,2023 after a long illness. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Angelene Pickett of the home; daughters LeKesia McGown (Antonio), Connie McIntosh, and Nina Jordan (Dorian); sons Ricky Pickett, Douglas Pickett, Jasper Pickett, Floyd Pickett and Patrick Pickett; sisters Bobbie Jones and Blondell Jones; brother Ray Pickett. He also leaves a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Memorial Service Friday, March 31,2023 at 1:00pm at Jubilee Baptist Church in Taylors, SC.
