Jimmy Singfield, transitioned to heaven on July 14, 2024, at the age 81. He was born February 12, 1943, in Spartanburg County to the late Mr. Peter and Edna Chamblin Singfield.

Jimmy was a faithful member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church for over 60 years where he served on the Usher Board and faithfully attended bible study until his health declined.

He leaves behind his caring siblings – Eddie Singfield, Malinda Singfield, Clara Foster and Joe Singfield as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and a multitude of other relatives and friends to include a special friend Ms. Agnes Dennis, and a devoted niece Linda Singfield all of whom were touched by his kind and meek spirit.   He was preceded in death by his brother John H. Singfield.

Hobbies: Special Olympics athlete with numerous medals, he was avid runner in his earlier years. He also served on faithfully on the Cedar Grove Usher Board, he enjoyed traveling and being family and friends, dancing, crafts. Daily you could catch him watching his favorite western television shows which he enjoyed immensely.  He attended Piedmont Skills, Upstate Thrive for several years where we developed many lifelong friendships with others who understood him and shared a similar compassion of accepting and loving people.

Jimmy was humble man with a joyful spirit who had an infectious laugh and displayed warm smile when you met him. He knew the Lord and had compassion for others and never met a stranger but always observant. He was a great uncle with a meek, kind but quiet spirit, who treated his nieces and nephews as his own children.  One of nieces stated, "To know Uncle Jimmy was to love him and embrace his uniqueness as the special gift that he was to our family".

Jimmy Singfield will be deeply missed, but his love will remain in the earth by all who truly knew him and loved him.

Special note of gratitude to all those who displayed kindness and cared for him over the years especially his devoted sister Ms. Eddie Singfield, who cared for him tirelessly and provided unwavering support for many years.

The Family would like to especially acknowledge our Cedar Grove Church Family, Piedmont Skills, Upstate Thrive, and the Charles Lea Center staff, Greer Urology staff, Ms. Bobbie Woodruff and all his compassionate and devoted caregivers to include Ms. Brenda Reed.
