**In Loving Memory of Mr. Jerry "JD" Davis**

**GREENVILLE, SC** — Mr. Jerry "JD" Davis, 66, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 24, 2026. Born on August 17, 1959, in Greenville, South Carolina, Jerry was the beloved son of the late Deacon George Davis and Neomi nee (Cline)Davis.

JD was a proud graduate of Riverside High School, Class of 1977, where he distinguished himself as a talented basketball player. His athletic ability, friendly spirit, and genuine personality made him well known and respected throughout the Taylors community.

JD was a man who valued relationships. He deeply loved those who loved him, and nothing brought him greater joy than talking with his children. His conversations, laughter, and presence will be cherished by all who knew him.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children: Maudice Perkins of Greenville, South Carolina; Jermaine Greer of Greer, South Carolina; Avis Perkins of Greenville, South Carolina; and Lashelle Jiles of Atlanta, Georgia. He is also survived by his brothers, George Davis Jr. and Harvey Davis Sr., both of Taylors, South Carolina.

Mr. Davis was a proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren Kyla Snow, Kaelynn Snow, Kyra Perkins, Kamya Perkins, Maudice J. Perkins, Ja'liyah Anderson, Briah Kingsborough, Safiatou Paye, Ezenkiel Vesey, Audrey Vesey, and Jazz Vesey, each of whom brought him great pride and joy.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Deacon George Davis, and his mother, Noemi Cline Davis and beloved sisters Ms. Betty Davis and

Though Mr. Davis has departed this earthly life, the love he shared, the memories he created, and the lives he touched will remain forever in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love, strength, and connection will continue to live on through those he leaves behind.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, 12:00 Noon at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary. Public viewing will take place on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, starting at 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary Inc.
