Mrs. Janie B. Fields, daughter of the late Joe N. and Mamie S. Black, passed Friday, September 29, 2022.

She was a member of Reedy Fork Baptist Church.  She was a retired employee of Kemet Corporation.  In her spare time, she enjoyed canning and sewing.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories of Mrs. Janie are her daughters, Imogene F. Clarke of Columbia, SC, Clara E. (Sylvester) Redmond of Conyers, GA and Sheralyn F. Smith of Pelzer, SC; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; along with a host of other family and friends.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Joe Fields III and David P. Fields; her siblings Joe N. Black, Willie J. Black, Ruby L. Jennings, Della M. Hopkins and JoeAnn Black.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, 11:00AM at Reedy Fork Baptist Church, Simpsonville, SC, burial to follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will start at 10:00 AM, prior to the service, until hour of service.
