Deacon James Arthur Hill Sr., husband of Margaret Hill, son of the late Jessie John and Teasie Ophelia Mayfield Hill, passed April 17, 2018 peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. Mr. Hill was a Deacon and member of Maple Creek Missionary Baptist Church. As a member of Maple Creek Missionary Baptist Church, he served as a Distinguished Gentleman; he was also a member of the Enoree River Brotherhood Association. He graduate of Dunbar High School class of 1954. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening, working on the computer, watching the news, driving his tractor, playing with his grandchildren and building things. Left to cherish fond and loving memories of Mr. Hill along with his wife of almost 60years are his children Kimberly M. (Arnold) Hill of Greer, SC and James A. Hill, Jr. of Prairie View, TX; sisters Lois H. Cline and Louvenia Hill both of Greer, SC; six grandchildren and other family and friends. Funeral service will Tuesday, April 24, 2018 1:00PM at Maple Creek Missionary Baptist Church with full military honors burial in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. The Hill family is being cared for by Sullivan Bros. Mortuary Inc.
