Mr. James Drummond, husband of Mrs. Ruth Drummond, son of the late James Wallace and Helen Drummond, passed Wednesday, June 10, 2026.
Mr. Drummond was a faithful member of Bethel United Methodist Church for many years. He graduated from Lincoln High School and after graduating, he began working for General Heating and Air Conditioning Co. He was an avid fan of sports. Some of his favorite teams included Dallas Cowboys, Brooklyn and L. A. Dodgers and the Los Angeles Lakers. In his spare time, he enjoyed singing, fishing, spending time with his family and driving around Greer in that beautiful Chevy Truck! He was a member of Prince Hall Eureka Masonic Lodge #59.
Left to cherish fond and loving memories of Mr. Drummond, include his wife Ruth for 68 years; his children, Valerie D. (Abraham) Perry of Lake Butler, FL, James L. (Gwen) Drummond, Jr. and William T. (Denise) Drummond, Lisa D. Murphy all of Greer, SC and Robert O. (Joy) Drummond of Taylors, SC; his siblings, Wallace L. Drummond of Washington, DC, Helen Moore and Thomas E. (Betty) Drummond both of Greer, SC,Judy D. Covington of Goose Creek, SC and Brenda Drummond of Lyman, SC; 12 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grands; along with a host of other family and friends.
Along with his parents, he was proceeded in death by his brothers, Leon Drummond and Alvin Drummond.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 16,2026, 12:00 noon at Bethel United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. The public viewing will take place on Tuesday morning (at the church) starting at 11:00am. Please keep the Drummond Family in your prayers.
