Ines Pea Martin, daughter of the late Mamie Lou Pea and Emmanuel Pea Sr., passed on Thursday, October 19, 2017. She was a member of Mayfield Chapel Baptist Church where she allowed the lord to use her in many ways. Ines held positions at the church such as President of the Mayfield Chapel Senior Missionary, then later served as the secretary of the Senior Missionary. She also served as Treasurer of the Mother's Board Ministry and also served as a Sunday School teacher as well as President of the Mid- Week bible study. She served as President of the Senior Club as well as President of the Sullivan Mix Choir where she later served as the secretary. She served as secretary of the Sympathy Club and served on the Repass committee as secretary and was Chaplin for the Spartanburg County Woman's Missionary Ministry for five (5) years. She was an active member of Moore's Chapter 180 of the O.E.S.P.H.A.R.A. She was also very supportive of her neighbors. She served as secretary of Needmore Cemetery Committee, member of Needmore Neighborhood Association, and President of the Socialite Club.
She leaves to cherish her memories, three daughters, Elbetha Martin of Atlanta, GA, Linda Martin Cummings, and Sherry Martin Arnold both of Easley, SC; two great grandsons, Tyrell and Shamar Jones of the home in Greer, SC; 7 grandchildren Andre (Sabrina) Martin of Charlotte, NC; Christe (Marcus) Kelley of Greenville, SC, Tara Martin Jones of Taylors, SC, Tosha Martin of Atlanta, GA, Rico Arnold of Hickory, NC, Courtney Martin of Greenville, SC and Martinez (Neda) Arnold of Easley, SC; 16 Great Grandchildren; and a host of other friends and relatives.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her Husband of 65 years, Harold Javan Martin; a daughter, Janet Martin; a granddaughter, Renata Martin; a sister, Eunice Miller; and three brothers, Roy Pea, James Earl Pea, Sr., and Emmanuel Pea Jr.
