Obituary

Taylors, South Carolina

Harry Isiah Major, Jr., was born September 2, 1979, in Charleston, South Carolina.  He was the son of Mr. Harry Major, Sr. and Mrs. Annette Handy and bonus father Ira Handy, Sr.  Harry was affectionately called "Reeboo" by his mother and "Porkchop" by his siblings.

Harry attended elementary school in Charleston before moving to Joliet, IL where he completed high school and attended Joliet Jr. College.

From a young age, Harry had an Entreprenurial spirit, always thinking of a way to make a way.  Harry loved collecting old coins, cutting grass, fishing and being with his family.

As a child, Harry was introduced to God and developed his own personal relationship with Him.  It was this relationship that kept Harry.  Even though he had some health issues, he never complained and almost always flashed that "million-dollar smile" that he was known to have.  To know Harry was to love Harry!

On Saturday, December 10th, 2022, God gave Harry rest, no more suffering, no more pain.

To cherish his memories are his father Mr. Harry I. Major, Sr. of Joliet, IL, mother and bonus father, Annette and Ira Handy, Sr. of Taylors, SC; siblings, Frank (Avoney) Scott of N. Charleston, SC, Harry Antonio Major of N. Charleston, SC, Danny (Octiva) Davis of Auburndale, FL, Shanel Davis of Greer, SC, Michelle (Darrell) Mikell of Ladson, SC, Ke'Shaun Major of San Antonio, TX, La'Toya (Calvin Jr.) Young Pelzer, SC, Michelle (Reggie) Aiken, Yolanda Handy, Jeremy Handy and Ira Handy, Jr. all of Greenville, SC; along with a host of Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.  The family dog Gizmo.
