Greer, South Carolina

Mrs. Harnetha Cohen Bradley, daughter of the late Albert and Iola Hawkins Cohen, passed Saturday, March 16, 2019 at her home, peacefully surrounded by her family.

She became a member and Mother of Maple Creek Missionary Baptist Church at an early age; as part of her membership, she was a member of the Missionary, Secretary of Sunday School and sang on the choir.  After graduating from Dunbar High School, she continued her education at the Helene Fuld School of Practical-Nursing Hospital of Joint Diseases in NYC. Still striving for education, she graduated from Bronx Community College, with her RN. Harnetha, then went on to graduate from Lehman College, of City University of New York; with a B.S. Degree in Public Health. She went on to work for NYC Department of Health, and many years at Beth Israel edical Center of NYC.  While in New York, she joined Calvary Baptist Church under Christian experience.

After retiring, she moved back to Greer where she resided until her steps became no more.  She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories her one and only son, the sunshine of her life, Louis James "Jimmy" Bradley; God sent children Gloria and Craython McDonald; and everyone who was fortunate enough to cross her path.  Her love and wisdom will live forever with generations of devoted family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her siblings Louise Cohen Sullivan, Ruth Cohen Smith and Junior Samuel Cohen.

Funeral service Wednesday, March 20, 11:00 AM Maple Creek Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Needmore Cemetery.
