Today , we bow in humble submission to thank You, GOD, for sending a baby boy, Mr. Harl Drummond, to the late Mr. John Drummond and the late Mrs. Frances McClintock Drummond on May 7 ^th , 1925, in Spartanburg County, South Carolina.

Harl was preceded in death by his two brothers, George and Roosevelt Drummond, his sisters, Anna Harris, Sarah Todd, Lula Edwards, and Iola Drummond.

At a young age he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and united with Lower Shady Grove Baptist Church to begin his service to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

He served three years in United States Army, fighting in WWII.  Harl was a member of the Shady Grove Mason Lodge # 290.

After returning from the United State Army, he had a long courtship with Elnora Gore.  The two were joined in Holy Matrimony February 5, 1949 and celebrated 73 years of marriage this past February 5,2022.  To this union, GOD you entrusted their aid with the task of raising four children, Carolyn, Harl Jr., Judy and Michael.

God called Harl home to rest from 97 years of well pleasing service, June 21 ^st , 2022. Surviving him is his wife, Mrs. Elnora Drummond, daughters, Carolyn and Judy, and sons Harl Jr., and Michael.  Four grandchildren, LaTanya Canty (John), Hyuri McDowell, Allarick Drummond and Kelvin Drummond, and five great-grandchildren, Morgan and Jalen Canty, Hyuri II and Hyori McDowell, and        Kaleigh Drummond, two nieces, Sarah Drummond and      Delores Drummond and a host of relatives and friends.

We thank you GOD for giving us Mr. Harl Drummond, our daddy, our daddy Harl, and our Pa  Pa, to love, to learn from, and grow in Christian love during his season with us.

Funeral service will be Sunday, June 26, 2022, 2:00PM at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary Chapel with military service being rendered; burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.  Viewing will take place on Saturday, June 25, 2022, from 1:00 PM until 5:00PM in the viewing window of Sullivan Bros. Mortuary Inc.  Funeral service will be viewed live on zoom.  A link will be posted prior to the service.  Please check back for update.  Mask required to be worn while attending service of Mr. Drummond (No Exceptions)!
