Duncan, South Carolina

Mr. Gussie Ballenger passed Sunday, February 17, 2019.  He was the son of the late Rochelle Drummond and Catherine Tinsley Ballenger and widower of Frances Shirley Ballenger.

He was a member of New Trinity Baptist Church in Wellford, SC. Gussie loved  sports, basketball and baseball. He was an Assistant Football Coach and Boy Scout Leader.

Gussie leaves to cherish his memories three daughters, Mattie (Charles) Robinson of Spartanburg, SC, Nancy Moon of Simpsonville, SC and Sharon Ballenger of Duncan, SC; two sons, Michael Ballenger of Duncan, SC and Ray (Patty) Bailey of Woodruff, SC; two sisters, Julia Mae Robinson of Duncan, SC and Willie Mae (Herbert) Glenn of Wellford, SC; two brothers, Rochelle Drummond Jr. of Greenville, SC and James Ballenger of Atlanta, GA.; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
