Mrs. Gloria Peggy Holmes, daughter of the late Hattie Patterson Mayfield, passed Wednesday, November 5, 2025.

She was a faithful member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church.  A graduate of Dunbar High School.  She was a retired employee with the Greenville County School System and J. P. Stevenson.  In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, doing crossword puzzles, zig saw puzzles and playing cards (spades).

Left to cherish fond and loving memories include her daughters, Sarah Helen (Eddie) McKinney of Spartanburg, SC and Phyllis Ann (Raymond) Fowler of Durham, NC; her grandchildren, Stephanie Ann (Freddie L.) Robinson, Jr. and Shannon (Bonikee) Thompson and Terrance Lamar Fowler all of Spartanburg, SC; Gloria Yvonne (Mark O.) Young, Sr., of Chesapeake, VA, Sherry Lavette Fowler of Lyman, SC and Shayla Renee Fowler of North Carolina; 11 great-grandchildren; along with a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will take place on Monday, November 10, 2025, 12:00 PM at Cedar Grove Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.  Public viewing will take place on Sunday, November 9, 2025, from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary.
