Wellford, South Carolina
Deacon Garvin Daniels, husband of Judy Daniels, son of the late Garfield and Dora Mae Daniels, passed Saturday, January 11, 2025.
He was a member and Deacon at New Trinity Baptist Church. He graduated from Lincoln High School. After graduation, he served in the United States Army. He attended Morris College and Greenville Technical College. He retired as a Post Master from the United States Postal Service. Those who knew him, knew his love for the Philadelphia Eagles "Fly Eagles Fly!!", he also loved spending time with his family and traveling with family and friends.
Along with his wife Judy; his legacy will forever be cherished by his children, Dr. Omar Daniels of Spartanburg, SC and Detra Daniels of Glen Burnie, MD; grandchildren, Omara (London) Lewis of Spartanburg, SC, Omar Daniels II of Clemson, SC, Omarion "Gabe" Daniels of Spartanburg, SC, Damiya and Myia McMillian of Wellford, SC; family reared in the home, Lakeitra (Damian) McMillian, Donna (Harry) Moss, Brittney Murphy and Ariana Hughes; siblings, Carolyn Jones and Roberta Jones both of Greer, SC; Dr. Troy Daniels of Killeen, TX and Rev. Jerry (Lou) Jones of Spartanburg; sisters-in-law, Diane (Ray) Martin and Magdalene Ratcliff; brothers-in-law, Rev. Ralph (Ondrea) Reid and Roy Reid; god children, Sinita (Al) Irby and Adia Herbert; along with a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Randall Daniels; sister, Elizabeth Daniels; grandson, Damian McMillian, Jr.; sister, Evalene (Calvin) Hill; brothers, Johnny Jones, Curtis (Evon) Jones and Dr. Robert Jones; brother-in-law, David (Annette) Reid, Jr. and dog Willie.
Funeral service will be Saturday, January 18, 2025, 10:30 AM at New Trinity Baptist Church with burial in Fort Prince Memorial Gardens. Military Honors service will take place! Public viewing will take place on Friday, January 17, 2025, starting at 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary Chapel.
