Mr. Frederick P. Davis, 55 of Greer, SC transitioned on Friday, July 24, 2026. He was the son of Janice Davis and the late Robert Earl McMillian. He was reared in the homes of his aunt Mrs. Estella I. Booker who preceded him in death and Terry and Cathy Jones along with Jennifer.

Frederick was a 1989 graduate of James F. Byrnes High School in Duncan, SC where he was a star football player. He attended Gardner Webb College in Boiling Springs, NC. He later enlisted in the United States Army where he served on the Front Line in the Dessert Storm War. Among other decorations he received a National Defense Service Medal, Sharp Shooter Badge Rifle Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Southwest Asia Service Medal, 3 Bronze Service Stars and a Kuwait Liberation Medal.

He was employed with Duer Carolina Coil in Greer, SC for 29 years.

Frederick is survived by his wife Marvella Tucker Davis, two sons, Tamajai (Shalanda) Jones of Fountain Inn, SC, Dashawn Davis of Las Vegas, NV, one daughter, Takellah Blanks of Temple, TX, three brothers, Eric Davis of Greer, SC, Lamar (Monica) Davis of Spartanburg, SC, Jody (Shawna) Walker of Greensboro, NC, one sister, Stephanie (Floyd) Cobb of Anderson, SC.

Frederick was dearly loved by 11 grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 1,2026, 1:00pm at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary Chapel with a family visitation starting at 12:00 noon.
