Spartanburg, SC

Mrs. Fannie Elizabeth Simpson, wife of Steven Simpson, daughter of the late Walter C. and Rosa Lee Cheeks, Sr., passed Sunday, January 23, 2022.

She was a member of Harvest House Ministries.  She graduated from Spartanburg High School and later received her Master's in Theology from Carolina College of Theology.  She also had her certificate for airline and travel.  in her spare time, she enjoyed shopping, singing, taking care of her nephews and binge-watching Chicago Fire.  She was employed with Hometown Finance.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories are her husband Steven Simpson of over 28 years; her daughter Mariah Simpson of Spartanburg, SC; siblings Bernard (Brenda) Cheeks of Wellford, SC, Walter (Linda) Cheeks, Robert Cheeks, James Cheeks, Anita Cheeks and Marcus Simpson all of Spartanburg, SC, Kae Engel of Millersville, MD, Juanita Hatchett of Atlanta, GA and Anthony Presley of Columbia, SC, first child niece, Leanne Cheeks of Spartanburg, SC along with a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her goddaughter Virginia Benson and two brothers, Michael Duckett and Charlie Turner.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022, 12:00 Noon at the Harvest House Ministries in Moore, SC with burial to follow in Lincoln Memorial Gardens.  Public viewing will be held prior to the service from 11:00 AM until 11:45AM.
