Greer, SC

Mrs. Evelyn Murphy, widow of Amos Murphy, daughter of the late Jimmy W. and Lona K. Foster, passed Friday, December 3, 2021 peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was a member of Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church.  At the church she was a part of the Nurse ministry.  She enjoyed babysitting children.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories are her children; Arthur (April) Durrah, Brenda Styles, Jimmy Murphy, Randy Murphy, Boyce Durrah all of Greer, SC, Robert (Linda) Murphy of Inman, SC, Atonia (Barry) Jeffers and Ronnie (Twana) Murphy both of Lyman, SC; 27 grandchildren; 53 great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; her daughter in law, Robin Murphy; pets CoCo, Pup-Pup and Muff; along with a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death along with her husband Amos, by her sons, Bobbie J. Murphy and Emanuel Murphy, Sr.

Funeral service will be Sunday, December 12, 2021 2:30PM at Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  Viewing will take place on Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 12:00 Noon until 5:00PM in the viewing window at Sullivan Bros. Mortuary Inc.  Please keep the Murphy family in your prayers.

Mask are required to attend the church service.
