Taylors, SC

Mrs. Eleanor Ester Robertson Murry, wife of the late Eugene Murry, daughter of the late Bennie S. (Julia) Robertson and the late Rosa Lee Poole Robertson passed Sunday, August 8, 2021.

She was a loving and devoted member of St. Mark United Methodist Church.  Her roles in the church included being a part of the United Methodist Women, Usher Board, Sunday School Teacher, Women's Choir, Saints Kitchen and even being named Mother of the Church.  Knowing her was loving her, you would remember some of the things she would enjoy including: cake baking, sewing, bowling, basketball, softball volleyball and spending time with family. She graduated from Dunbar High School in Greer, SC.   Retired employee from Homelite Textron.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories of Mrs. Eleanor are her children, Shannon Murry of Mauldin, SC, Julia D. Murry and Ronnie (Maetroy) Murry both of Taylors, SC; special cousin Queen "Tiny" Wallace of Greer and niece best friend Bobbie Jones of Taylors, SC; 14 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; along with a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Donnie and Jerry Murry; her siblings, Bennie L. Robertson, Sr., Rebecca Robertson and James M. Robertson.

We will honor a life well lived on Saturday, August 14, 2021 beginning at 12:00 Noon St. Mark United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  We are requesting all who want to be in attendance to wear a facial covering and follow CDC Guidelines.  Viewing will be held prior to service beginning 11:00 AM.
