Mr. Clinton Foster, widower of Ruth A. Foster, son of the late John H. Thomas and the late Zola L. Pickett Foster, passed Tuesday, April 19, 2022.
He was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. As a member of the church, he served as President of the senior choir, Lai leader, head of Trustee Board, Sunday School Superintendent, President of United Methodist Men. He was a faithful member and loved giving. He donated furniture for the foyer of the new church. He retired from Roadway Express. In his spare time, he enjoyed being a carpenter, he loved to do enormous yard work that he won awards for, gardening and being in his fishpond.
Along with his wife Ruth, of over 69 years, he leaves to cherish fond and loving memories, his sons, Jerry (Cathie) Foster of Greer, SC and Ricky Foster of Star Valley Ranch, WY; siblings Ilene LeFong of Winston Salem, NC and William S. Thomas of Bronx, NY; four grandchildren, Corey Foster, Tyrance Jackson, Jerica Foster Coleman and Gerald Cade; eight great grandchildren and one great-great grand; along with a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, James Thomas, Robert Baskin, Lloyd Thomas, Willie Mae Bowen, Izora Glenn, Lucille Lyles, Jane Smith, A. C. Foster, Robert Foster, John L. Foster, Waymon Foster, Plea Mae Bowens and Eunice Murry.
