Mr. Clarence Johnson, husband of Annie Johnson son of the late, Roosevelt and Clara W. Johnson, Sr., passed Wednesday, April 6, 2022.

He was a member of Moore's Chapel Baptist Church.  He graduated from Florence Chapel High School.  After high school, he started working for the South Carolina Commission for the Blind.  In his spare time, you could catch him bowling strikes at any bowling alley.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories of Mr. Johnson along with his wife Annie of over 50 years include his son, Clarence "Jay" Johnson of Spartanburg, SC; siblings, Rachel J. Miller of Wellford, SC, Ruth Gold of Columbia, SC, Rufus L. Johnson of Greer, SC, Queenester (Dr. Henry) Bowens of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Betty J. Johnson of Spartanburg, SC, Wanda M. Johnson of Lyman, SC and Janice Johnson of Duncan, SC; two grandchildren, three great grandchildren; caregiver daughter Jackie Miller of Spartanburg, SC; along with a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Rosa Lee Cheeks, Doris Johnson, Eliza Brown, Agnes Kennedy, Reiner Granger, Elizabeth Johnson, Ruby Helen Johnson, Howard Johnson, Leonard Johnson, Standard Johnson and Roosevelt Johnson, II.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, April 12, 2022, 1:00 PM at Lower Shady Grove Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.  Viewing will take place on Monday, April 11, 2022 from 3:00 PM until 6:00PM in the viewing window of Sullivan Bros. Mortuary Inc.
